The Bible teaches us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Caring for our bodies—including our skin—is a way to honor the gift of life God has given us. 1 Peter 3:3-4 says, “Your beauty should not come from outward adornment... Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.”
This verse reminds us that true beauty comes from within. However, caring for your skin can complement your inner beauty by helping you feel confident and comfortable in your own skin. When you feel good about yourself, it can enhance your ability to shine God’s light to others.
